Shelby grew up in a small farming town in Idaho in the United States. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University in 2020. Due to COVID-19 she took a small break and did contact tracing before a short humanitarian trip reinvigorated her passion in the dental field and soon headed to work full time as a Dental Hygienist in Hawaii. There, she met her now husband and at the beginning of 2025 they decided to make the jump to New Zealand to be closer to her husband's family. ​

 

She loves working with patients to better their oral health. She is adaptable and can work with patients to develop a plan for their specific oral condition that will help them to achieve good oral health. ​

 

In her spare time, she enjoys playing video and board games, going on hikes, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends. She is also known to take on the occasional DIY project around the house.
